Winter Train

Acrylic and Oil on Canvas
16"x20" 8/15/16
This is one of my favorites! I think I may do a series of trains, if I can find inspiring photos.

Yosemite Valley

Acrylic on canvas 16"x20"
This is the acrylic under color coat. I'm debating whether I actually need to add the oil highlights or not. I think it looks pretty good just the way it is! I'll post again if I decide it needs enhancing. Let's call this one "Yosemite Valley"

Thanks to Erika Vail for the awesome photo!

Half Dome at Sunset

Oil on Canvas
10"x10"
I thought I should paint this on a small canvas to see if it worked out; if it did, I would paint it on a larger canvas. I think it looks ok, but it didn't WOW me. I may have to pull out my brushes if I try this one again, rather than just using my palette knife.

Nightfall

Oil on Canvas
16"x20"
I wowed myself again! I love the way this looks in different lighting.

River Walk

Oil on Canvas
16"x20"
It seems a little messy, but I like the motion of the river and the general feel of the scene.

During the Gloaming

I would have been better off leaving the cows out of the picture!
